Co Mayo is the third largest of Ireland's 32 counties, but is also one of the lesser discovered most beautiful landscapes of Ireland. There is a distinct geological difference between the West and East of the county. To the east has extensive Atlantic Blanket Bog, and to the East is largely a limestone landscape. Ireland's largest island called Achill Island lies off the west coast of Mayo and is a popular destination for tourists as well as many Irish natives enjoy visiting this wild and wonderful mountainous island. Please enjoy our collection of photos of Mayo and let us know anything or anywhere we may be missing.
