It is an in built magnatism to express a primative drive towards an outcome that in some ways may emulate the hunting and gathering days of our development over many thousands of years. The most successful photographs are actually made in circumstances of losing yourself amongst the landscape. You become nobody no place no thing and enter into a timeless black hole where you are the subject and it is you, this is the place I am quite sure that many creatives enter into when they are making their best works, in whatever the genre of expression that may be. It begs the question as to what is you, because in this flow state that parks the human element of our understanding of what we seem to want to cling onto as physically orientated conditioned materialist inclined protective comfortable humans in an overly abundant physical realm. The being side of the human experience is a largely untouched wealth of abundant opportunities for the soul in a spiritual foothold understanding that self love and self worth is a bedrock where by all else flows from there and only if and when this foundation is firmly and wholeheartedly believed in our subconscious . The body is merely a secondary subconscious expression that can now be steered and guided by the real you, the awareness that lies behind and before the conditioned self, where the emotional banks of memory that are stored in the physical body reside. This is only possible if you believe that you are in essence the pilot in the sky sitting there consciously aware of not only your conditioned thinking but also your overriding ability to tame the fear body that is doing its best to avoid things and ultimately looking for a safe familiar place to rest. I applaud its ability to have hooned this skill as I would hazard a guess that we would not have survived to this day in the forefront of time and space at least in my reality of how time works without this clever adaptation that would have really helped during very different times of living, in fact through it is only very recently that this skill has not served us during these abundant pleasure filled years just passed going into it blind of how to really understand our emotions. I call on us all to be happiness seekers and not just pleasure seekers in order to raise our sense of oneness that is required to do what it takes to shift old ways and embrace a new consciousness together in such a way that will help the very laws of nature that created us. Your ability to be conscious enough and to be empowered enough to recognise these working and dialogue that goes on between the body and the mind will mean that the pilot ie you will gain control over your destiny and land you in situations that will express the real you. Recognise what may well be just pleasure and be sure to be happy first otherwise the pleasure which is more bodily orientated tends to be more self fulfilling, whereas happiness comes from within when it is expressed without judgment. A silly example is happiness is giving something nice and healthy and tasty nutrients filled to a neighbour, pleasure is eating it yourself at home. To leverage off this type of analogy is the metaphor for happiness and to avoid the pain, it is used effectively in service of others this is potentially hugely beneficial both to society and yourself.
Footnote: The body is the subconscious mind which turns on and off the genes that are embedded in our unconscious and obviously very clever physical manifestation that has evolved throughout our development as humans. The Epigenetic’s however are the real power house here in relation to how experiences particularly as kids up to the age of 7 dictate so much of the rest of one’s life. Belief systems and ways of emotionally dealing with events can limit our understanding of what is actually possible and the conditioned you has been programmed many of your limited understanding of what you can achieve in this one life of yours, and this when you realise is someone else’s idea of you is possibly another unempowering arrangement that worked a little more successfully in the past but certainly again during these abundant stress orientated doing society in a vain attempt to accumulate in pursuit of happiness not so much.
It is of course vital to be present in this moment in order to make some headway and gain control of this life and not to be a victim to those learnt behaviours and belief systems that when released can be dug out, looked at and ultimately changed through habits that serve your preferred path. There is a book I highly recommend called How To Do The Work, a helpful guide to your empowered life.
