Why Irish Landscape Photography?

As my home country Irelands landscape is very special to me, that is the sentiment that I attempt to show through the grateful act of photographing this beautifully diverse and varied island on the west coast of Europe. Although the works have a mix of black and white and colour images there is always very strong black and white tones in the prints as the impact and textures to be found in the natural landscape here have a story to be told in there formation from the Wild Atlantic weather and that the country receives particularly on the West coast of Ireland. To address the question why it is a major part of my work, is that the natural beauty of landscapes appeals from an appreciation and awareness point of view, particularly on how we can be reminded of the places around the Irish countryside to feel a positive feeling on viewing the fine art prints that we produce.
